PICTURED ROCKS NATIONAL LAKESHORE - October 2016: Grand Portal Portal Point as seen from an overlook along the North Country Trail in Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The cliffs rise some 200 feet above Lake Superior in this part of the park. Its about a 3.5 mile hike to this location from the Chapel Basin trailhead and part of a 10 mile loop. One of the best hikes in the whole state of Michigan.
